The Coating Worx is a Commercial and Domestic paint contracting company, expanding through the network of Franchisees, nationally. The company has the distinct advantage of using PLASCON & DULUX Paints as it’s preferred paint suppliers and in return under certain conditions, PLASCON & DULUX will guarantee the work undertaken.

VIABILITY

The paint contracting market in South Africa is worth hundreds of millions of Rand per annum. Homeowners in South Africa are continually moving home and therefore creating a never-ending supply of new paint contracts to be awarded. Homes need re-painting every five years, which makes The Coating Worx an ideal annuity business.

SETTING UP A COATING WORX FRANCHISE

The Coating Worx look for an enthusiastic self-motivated individual committed to owning and operating his own business. The Coating Worx is not an investment to be considered as a sideline. Properly managed, the business will provide an excellent living and a good return on investment.

The total set-up will be in the region of R250 000 of which the franchisee should have about 10% in cash. The balance can be financed through leasing, term loans, overdraft or a combination of all three. This will depend on each franchisee’s particular circumstances.

Franchisees must be prepared to offer customers first-rate service at all times even when under extreme pressure. Customer contact is all-important and therefore the personality of the operator plays a significant part. The ability to motivate and manage staff is also of prime importance.

Royalty Fee: There is no royalty fee.

Equipment and Signage: The set-up fee includes all equipment and signage as per our standard new franchisee specification list. There is also provision in this funding for start up stationery, uniforms, training and initial advertising.

LEADS SUPPLIED

The Coating Worx has appointed a marketing company that has 20 representatives on the road, calling on Architects, builders, Quantity Surveyors and developers. This initiative has given the The Coating Worx access to thousands of leads on a daily basis, which we pass on to our Franchisees.

TRAINING

Training is undertaken by all our stakeholders at their offices, on a regional basis, including PLASCON, DULUX, SIKA & SAFEGUARD. Business training, which includes business strategy, marketing, costing, production etc. is undertaken regionally by our Head office.
